Chairman's Introduction

Our Camera Club was established in June 2000 by a group of like-minded individuals with the mutual interest of developing personal practical photography techniques.  So what does this mean?  It means we emphasise a hands-on approach to photography rather than the theoretical aspects. That's not to say that we ignore the theory completely, but our quarterly syllabus certainly ensures that we all get hands-on experience of various photographic projects. To date the syllabus has included, glamour, still life, aqua, band night, digital techniques and even setting up studio shots for 3 Harley Davison motor cycle riders and their machines.

The photographic skills of our members range from novice, like me, to bordering on the professional. This is also borne out in the range of equipment at our disposal, which again covers anything from point and click to medium or large format cameras, and a whole set of studio lighting and back drops.

So, whether you’re an out and out beginner or wish to set up challenging photographic projects we believe Moore Camera Club can meet your needs.  We meet every Monday evening, except Bank Holidays, at 7:00pm at the Gentlemen of Moore RUFC, Moss Lane Moore.
