Moore Camera Club Constitution 1. Title The name of the club shall be: Moore Camera Club 2. Management The affairs of the club shall be governed by a committee consisting of: 3. Annual General Meeting The date of this meeting will be 1st Monday in July. 4. Election of Officers The committee shall be elected at the AGM. If there is only one nominee for a post then that member will be deemed to be elected. All committee members are eligible for re-election. 5. Membership Membership categories will be: Full Entitled to attend all meetings of the Club. Guest First visit free, 2nd and 3rd visit Guest weekly subscription, 4th visit compulsory annual membership fee due. (Guest cannot submit entries into Camera Club competitions but can vote at competitions).
Each member shall have equal voting rights. 6. Finance The Treasurer will open an account in the name of the Club at a Bank approved by the committee into which shall be paid all monies received by the Club. The treasurer shall keep records of all income and expenditure with supporting receipts for all outgoings, and present an Annual Balance Sheet to the AGM. 7. Subscriptions The Annual subscription shall be payable from 1st May. The amount of subscriptions shall be determined at the AGM. If subscriptions are paid by any other means than cash the member will become responsible for any other charges incurred. The committee will decide the weekly subscriptions amount. A concessionary fee will be adopted for guests joining The Club between 1st Nov to 30th April. 8. Meetings The meetings of the Club shall take place each Monday of the week. The committee may decide to hold extra meetings depending on the requests of the members or for some special photographic merit. 9. Dissolving the Club In the event that the Club has to be dissolved all assets are to be converted into cash and donated to a charity decided by the committee. 10. Alterations to the Rules Alterations to the rules shall be made only: An Extra Ordinary General Meeting shall be convened by the Secretary at the request of the committee or upon written notice signed by a least five fully paid up members stating the purpose for which the meeting is called. A quorum for an AGM or EOGM shall be deemed to be not less than 25% of the Clubs full membership 11. Resolutions A resolution at any committee, AGM or EOGM shall be carried by a simple majority of those present and voting. Any member desirous of moving any resolution at an A.G.M or EOGM shall give notice thereof in writing, to the Secretary not less than seven days before the date of such meeting. 12. Powers of the Committee Acceptance of new members is at the discretion of the committee. A member may be required to resign from the Club at the discretion of the committee, if guilty of committing any act which brings the Club or any of its’ members into disrepute. The committee shall have the powers to co-opt any fully paid up member to the committee with his or her consent. |
