About Us

Moore Camera Club was founded in June 2000 by a small group of enthusiastic amateurs who wanted to provide the opportunity for likeminded photographers to concentrate on the practical side of photography. The venue of Moore Rugby Club seemed ideal with its spacious environment, availability and of course the bar.  The syllabus is decided by its members on a quarterly basis but if a photographic opportunity presents itself, the syllabus can easily be changed to accommodate this.

The members have a vast range of equipment between them including several flash heads, backgrounds and cameras.  Because the club is non profit making, some of the proceeds contribute towards photographic equipment.

A monthly internal competition sets the challenge to take our photography away from the club meetings and because we don't belong to any official body, the competitions we run remain fun and not overly competitive although there are incentives to win.  Have a look at our competition section by using the link above.

We meet on a Monday evening at 7pm and usually finish up around 9:30pm. We welcome new members and with the first visit being free of charge allow newcomers to sample what we get up to without any pressure. Our members are very friendly, come down to the clubhouse and have a drink with us.

It would be advisable to phone first as we sometimes go out on location.
